Your energy broker should declare how much they will make (in commission) from arranging your new business contract. In many cases, the broker does not declare any commission. Instead, they claim it’s either a free service or they’re given a token or finder’s fee from the energy supplier.

The commission an energy broker receives is based on the energy rate (at the time the contract was agreed) and the length of the contract e.g. 2 years.
